Hello

Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy or the birth of your newest little one.

Thank you for visiting my website to understand more about me, the role of a doula and how I can best support you, your partner and family in this exciting and perhaps a little overwhelming time of your life.

I’m Lisa and I am a trained Birth and Postnatal Doula. I live in West Wickham and work within the local area, covering Hayes, West Wickham, Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington, Chislehurst and Petts Wood.

Whether you would like one-to-one tailored antenatal and consistent birth support with signposting to trusted evidence based information or hands on practical and emotional support to help you rest and recover from birth so you can feel nurtured and able to enjoy this precious time with your new baby or perhaps both.

I will work with you to create a professional partnership where the focus is on your wishes and needs at this special time.

I will be a friendly, constant, non-judgmental point of contact for you, to feel safe, calm and cared for when you need it the most.

How I can support you

What is a Doula?

Guide, Support, Empower

A Doula as a trained birth partner provides continuous emotional, physical and educational support to both the birthing person and partner, helping to sign post to reliable information sources to help empower you to make informed decisions when needed and provide a safe calming presence during labour as early as you feel you need it.

Once baby has arrived, a Doula will ‘parent the parents’ to give you space to recover from birth, provide support in the home and help you as parents to learn and grow in confidence at responding to your baby’s needs.
